Brush Fire 3-23-09

This was a large field fire on Route 157 in Washington Township. The fire spread across about 1 1/2 acres of open field. 670 units were on scene for approximately 2 hours.

Car vs Amish Buggy 6-14-09

This was a car vs amish buggy accident on Route 157 in Washington Township. No one in the car was injured. There was 1 minor injury from the occupants of the buggy, that patient was transported to Clarion Hospital. The horse was injured and put down by the PSP trooper on scene.

LODD FF Ryan Wingard Funeral 7-09-09

WTVFD sent representatives to the funeral possession for fallen Strattanville VFC Firefighter Ryan Wingard.  Our prayers are with Ryan's families, both at home and at the fire station.

Asst. 520 Large Outside Fire 7-22-09

WTVFD was called to assist Station 520 Clarion Fire for a large outside fire at the Piney Power Plant in Piney Township.  The workers there were chipping logs with a wood chipper.  The chipper caught on fire and caught the large stack of telephone poles on fire.  Units from 20 fire companys from several counties assisted at the scene.  First due units were on scene for over 12 hours.
